The Screening Bureau was initially founded in 2001 as part of The Security Watchdog Group, in order to support the security industry in reaching the stringent requirements of BS 7858 (Code of Practice for Security Screening of Personnel in a Security Environment). Since inauguration it has gained steadily in reputation both within the security sector and major corporates alike.

   As increased pressure is being placed on companies to reduce operational risk and fraudulent activity by their respective regulatory bodies, clients from all areas of commerce are identifying a need for a professional pre-employment screening service in order to ensure the honesty and integrity of their existing and prospective employees.

TECHNOLOGY
 
Our extranet VOLT (Verification On Line Tracker) has been piloted successfully by Vodafone UK, one of our major clients. Clients are able to upload screening application forms/ID documentation and monitor remotely the screening progress of their candidates at all times. The system has the facility to send email VISA expiry alerts to relevant HR client contacts. From this unique system clients can generate a range of reports such as monthly spend, service levels and number of cleared/failed screening files.

The Screening Bureau has an outstanding reputation for delivering a quality service.  We are an Umbrella Body for the Criminal Records Bureau and are regularly inspected by the NSI to BS 7858.

We have worked with industry underwriters to create an alternative to BS 7858 named SECURI-CHECK© which we believe offers a more robust and workable screening solution, addressing the important issues of financial probity and criminality. SECURI-CHECK© comprises:-
